Hi

A new owner, and new L1, doing my first annual...

The manual calls for measuring the washer thickness, and below 1.3 mm to be investigated, around 1mm failure not far away.

If i am measuring correctly, only by putting a 1mm fealer gauge beside, all mine are 1mm. Engine approx 500 since major overhaul.

By the picture in the manual, my washers look different. Can any one add clarity for me. Do all mine need replacing? Is there a new type I have not subect to this measurement?

First post, I have pictures, but yet to find out how to attach them...

Cheers Tim

Hi Tim,

I guess you engine is an older model engine.  I think you should be able to post pictures now that you have made your first post.

So put up a picture and we'll see what sort they are.

Thanks Andrew

Turns out they were ok.

Great support from the factory. They sent via email another picture that showed me more clearly what i should be measuring. I don't think I can add photo's still, but when I can I will add a few to show what was confusing me, and the solution, in-case it helps others.
