Brake upgrade

The dual caliper set up on my J400 is in need of some work and as they are not a particularly efficient design I'm weighing up my options as to whether to upgrade them rather than work on the current set up. Probably the overriding question is do the new mark 3 brakes retro fit onto a J400, if it makes any difference to the answer, it's fitted with split steel rims rather than fancy cast ones with no spats fitted.

Secondly, am I correct in thinking the master cylinder remains the same?

Working on the assumption that it is a possible upgrade, at least physically, what is the ball park cost of the kit?

cheers

Hello Steve,

Yes we have an adapter ring that means the Mark 3 brakes will fit your wheels.  The master cylinder stays the same.

At the moment the upgrade kit cost about AU$1000.

That's great, thanks

Is there a specific part number for the correct kit that I can give to the UK importer?

Just purchased the kit and wondering if there’s an installation manual/instructions.

Hello Martin,

We have installation instructions for the brakes onto our current wheels.  For you it would be much the same except for the addition of spacer ring.  I have attached the instructions.
