I need an extension (lap part only) seatbelt for my J160 as my CFI cannot reach the pedals. Does anyone know the details of the buckle spec? It isn't a standard aviation (airline) buckle as the tang is too wide.  I looked for AMSAFE (maker of Jabiru seatbelts I understand) on the web in an effort to buy the parts for a proper safety shop to make up an extension but their site comes up with no content so they may be out of business.

This must have occurred previously with the Jab having fixed seats, and really surprised that its not available easily - has anyone found more detail on the buckle and tang type/manufacturer?  Are they the same as some other light sport type aircraft - i don't believe this buckle/tang combination are only fitted to Jabiru.

Jabiru only provide complete belts which are very pricey.  Found the answer - Air Safety Solutions (info@airsafetysolutions.com.au) at Wollongong can reweb certified aircraft seat belts, and can get hardware from AMSAFE the same as used in Jabiru aircraft.  Give Craig a call 0418 258 105 - very good.  About $80 to adjust the length of the lap belt to Jabiry factory specs.
