Hello,

The push pull cables that are used on Jabirus can't be disassembled.  The plastic lining inside provides the lubrication.

If they are excessively stiff there is a good chance they will need to be replaced.  In the airframe tech manual there is more info on checking your cables as part of the 5000hr inspection.

What is the best way to lubricate the olives at the ends of the cables?

By olive I think you are talking about the thing we call a rod end.  The rod ends that Jabiru uses don't have any means provided to lubricate them and are intended to run dry.

That's not to say you can't, I would try using some sort of penetrating oil.  If you can't get the rod ends to move freely it is should be replaced.

Thanks.  Always check they move as part of my pre-flight.
