Hi I have Jabiru engine 2200 with bing carburetor 64-3. Runs fine but after each cold start and choke full open the engine will not let me turn of choke soon after (after about 1 to 2 minutes) otherwise the engine stops. This situation has been for a while and if I try increase RPM with throttle while closing little bit the choke the engine quits. Until now I had to have full choke on for about 5 to 6 minutes after cold start until things went to normal (engine runs fine , choke off Head temp. 100 celsius on all cyl and oilpressure ok).
Started the engine (cold) today and now the engine wan't let me turn off the choke at all. After about 7 minutes "full choke time" I turned off the engine and started again ( full choke) then finally I could soon after turn the choke off. Not sure what is happening - thought it was perhaps the fuel but I do not think so as other jabiru engine here do not have the problem. I guess there is something stuck in the bing carb. Anyone here who could guide me what to look for ?
Regards
Bernhard
Never mind - found what was wrong - massive leak
That will do it!

Rubby - Carby - Mount was cracked inside (not through though - hard to see unless removing from carb. Replaced with new - things ok now. See attached image
