Sept 9th the engine locked up at 2000 rpm. Landing off field was good with no aircraft damage.
Inspection of the engine showed catastrophic damage in the #3 piston.
The hard stoppege actually bent the engine mount on my Avid MK4.
Sent the engine to Tennessee and they confirm #3 piston failure which broke the cam.
This engine had 180 hours on it.
Fortunately Jabiru stands behind their product and will replace the engine and motor mount.

Which Gen engine? Details on what exactly failed? Circlip? Valve impact? Lubrication failure? Sorry to hear.
