Early Microair problem

Hi all, my Jab is fitted with Microair s/n 5543 yes a very early model,it works ok but has no working monitor

function which leads me to think that "M"not showing when i hold down the toggle for 3-5 seconds is just a fault in flip flop mode.

Nor am i able to enter program mode,were they even available on this early (2004) model year?I just wanted

to know before i send it off to have serviced (expensive) . No use sending it if that year did not have the monitoring function anyway.

Scan function on stored channels "mode" appears to be working well and will stop and receive any incoming call.
