I have an LSA55 in my care, and trying to work out if this is the same as a J160 for maintenance purposes. The vertical fin appears different and the engine serial number likewise. The 2200 engine Serial Number is 22J59

Hi Bowerbird,
It's similar but not completely the same... but from a "what to do when" perspective the maintenance requirements will be the same. Most likely your engine will be a solid lifter type, probably with a 32mm carby, so you'll have to watch for minor differences applicable to your aircraft (different jet sizes etc).
