I think this is a wonderful idea and the success of Jabiru forum on Avcom has proven the need for a dedicated Jabiru forum. This way we can keep track of the Doing of the Uwings among the Jabinaughts globally!!!!

I currently own my second Jabiru. I first had a 2 seat Jabiru SP and now for the past 7 years a 4 seat Jabiru J430. I have done close to 1000 hrs in my Jabs and loved every minute.

We travel from coast to coast all over Africa including over some very inhospitable country, much like the outback in Australia for those that have been there. We organize tours to very exotic places and travel in groups of Jabinaugts up to 25 aircraft. Anually we also have a Jabiru gathering where we will have spot landing, navigation and flour bombing competitions. We have been 58 aircraft at some gathering in the past.

I hope to hear from other Jabiru owners all over the globe!

Well done to Jabiru for kicking off this forum. Let's be confident that it is filled with positive and informative content rather than some of the other negative trash some fliers choose to dish up on other forums. As a long standing and happy Jab owner, I look forward to contributing and learning. Well done.

For those who haven't made up their minds, having just completed one, I recommend the Jabiru run engine maintenance course - worth every minute of the time spent.

I fully agree. Jason is worth his weight in gold! I also believe that some of those representatives outside Australia should send their staff on the course. Three days filled with lots of good information and advice. I now feel more confident in carrying out the maintenance checks and minor repairs when needed to my J170C. Since doing the course in early March I have also taken the time to read the manuals so that it all comes together. Only problem I have is getting hold of spark plugs and AN nuts/bolts, etc, Thailand being all metric.
