Good day,

My 3300A engine S/N 551 has a slight oil leak at the sump. From the overhaul manual I cannot find with certainty if my engine has the two screws under the timing plate to hold the sump. Can you please clarify which S/N ranges has those hidden screws?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Hi Rob,
I'm told that the hidden screws should be from S/No. 33A-462 to -792 so - assuming your engine has not been pulled down and modified in the meantime - they should be there.
Regards,
Doug.

Thanks Doug!

Perhaps you can ask your documentation guys to update the wording in the next revision of the overhaul manual? The table in Appendix E suggests the screws are there from S/N 792 onward.

No problems Rob
I've passed it on, should be updated in the next review.
