Jabiru 3300A1009 at high altitude airport (5,800msl) Max static runup rpm is 3300 at around 25deg C.

Is this ok or does the prop need to be adjusted to more coarse or finer pitch.

                                                                         Thank You,

                                                                          Noel

Hello Noel.

3300 is too high. The pitch needs to be adjusted to be more coarse.  With that static rpm as soon as you takeoff the engine will exceed maximum rpm.  Whereabouts in the world is there an airport that high?

Thank you for the info. My airplane is based at Centennial airport, just South of Denver, Colorado USA. The elevation is 5,885' MSL. We

have another nice paved airport at 9,934'msl, the Lake County airport in Leadville, Colorado. Watch your density altitude !
